Manohar, the son of Ramdas joined his father in the business over 20 years ago. He says that “Our business thrived because people in this area were sentimentally attached to our shop and wanted to buy only from us, especially the country drugs. We still have our customers but many of them have today moved away from this area.  We focus only on selling three kinds of products. Hardware items which include nuts, bolts, screws etc…, tailoring items are needles and different kinds of threads. We also sell country drugs which are more in demand in the powdered form in packets now.”

                            

Selling these essentials for almost 50 years and operating out of a small place, Ramdas sits in his shop every single day. The shop is open all seven days of the week from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Ramdas Shop is a very familiar spot for all those belonging to this area and are able to direct people instantly to this old place.
