Bombay Sports explained ‘Bombay Sports was started 30 years back by Praveen Doshi along with Kamal Badami.  We are 5 partners in the business including the founders, Gautam Bangi and CK Chopra’.  ‘I joined in the year 1987 having some previous experience of dealing with sports trophies in Hyderabad.   The last 22 years have been an interesting journey in this business with creativity being the back bone of our growth’.
‘In the initial years we were only selling standard products. It was in 1995, that we decided to bring in some innovation and we are the first in Tamil Nadu to start taking orders and customising trophies for individual clients. We have several corporates, clubs, associations, schools and colleges as our customers and we have brought in variety with wood, brass and acrylic material. We also create new designs to suit the taste and occasion’.

Jagat added ‘We get customers always looking for new designs and shapes and I can see the importance of motivating people through awards.  We get the requirements from our customers, translate them by adding our expertise to result in new products every time’.
I asked Jagat how he liked being in his chosen business and immediately he replied ‘I enjoy it as I see all the changes happening in the world just by what people expect from us. Everyday is a new day as fresh ideas are brought to us’.
Bombay Sports also gets orders from outside Chennai and at times have sent pieces outside our country too.  They have so many regular customers because of their friendly and value added services. They take great pride in executing orders in the promised time schedule to ensure that the functions organised by their clients take place in the scheduled manner.
Bombay Sports has grown at a rapid pace because they taken keen interest to keep aligned to customer needs and also stay ahead in the industry to fulfil customer desires satisfactorily.
