 Relax and enjoy, have a dip in the pool, walk around the farm, admiring nature all this with tasty food at ‘The Farm’ in Chennai. Arul Futnani thought about an innovative concept of having open land converted into a rustic area of relaxation for people who are so much into the hustle and bustle of city life.
They can come and for a few hours enjoy greenery, breathe fresh air and be rejuvenated to get back to their busy schedules.Shalini who runs the place along with Arul expressed that she loved staying at ‘The Farm’ and providing hospitality to guests.
Shalini went on to explain ‘We started functioning in April 2009 and so far we have been open only in the weekends. We don’t have typical menu cards, we write down the day’s menu in blackboards and most of the food is prepared right in front of our guests. We have a few beds in the dining area and people just lie down after a heavy meal. We have the vegetables and fruits supplied directly from the farms. We are just introducing al carte and the menu will depend totally on what is available each day. We don’t over stock food so that whatever we give our customers they can be assured that they are fresh’.  
The Farm has a few rooms for guests to stay and enjoy the facilities. From the first week of February the place is going to be open for lunch and dinner even during weekdays. The team has a lot of creative ideas to be implemented and they are going to introduce more activities and entertainment all set in a very quiet environment.
Shalini concluded saying ‘We spend time with our customers here so we establish a rapport with them and hence able to get their views about our facilities and services. Those who have visited us will vouch that they had a great time’.
I also join all those who have had an outing to ‘The Farm’ that it was a wonderful experience going there and spending a few hours in quietitude. It helps to collect our thoughts and calm ourselves down in order to look forward to our day to day lives in a more effective manner.
